Lavender Birchen Marans
$200 · Half dozen · 6 eggs · Includes extras · Free shipping included
About our Lavender Birchen Marans
We’re pairing a Hickman Homestead rooster with hens from Evergreen and Hickman Homestead.
We plan to preserve multiple families of Lavender Birchen Marans to maintain genetic diversity, while introducing thoughtful outcrosses to Black Silver Birchen Marans to help maintain feather quality.
We’re breeding toward beautiful, bloomy pink eggs and birds that meet the Marans Standard of Perfection (SOP). We’re always working toward that standard, while recognizing that every flock is a work in progress.
These are breeding goals, not guarantees of the egg colors, speckling, or blooms that offspring will produce.

Heritage Welsummers
$165 · Dozen · 12 eggs · Includes extras · Free shipping included
About our Heritage Welsummers
We’re pairing a rooster from Jillybeans Rainbow, who hatched from a large, “Dino”-speckled egg, with our Welsummer hens carrying Clutch of Color genetics. We’re breeding toward lighter brown egg backgrounds with large, bold speckles, with each egg showing its own pattern and personality.
Alongside egg color and speckling, we’re selecting for healthy, well-built birds and clear autosexing chick markings to help distinguish males and females at hatch. We’re always striving toward the breed’s Standard of Perfection (SOP), while recognizing that every flock is a work in progress.
A little prehistoric charm, right in the nesting box.

In this mixed-breed project, we’re breeding toward colorful eggs and heavy, beautiful blooms, without a breed Standard of Perfection (SOP) goal. We can’t wait to see what the next generation brings to the egg basket.

Hatching Egg FAQ & Policies
Do you offer shipping or local pickup?
Both! Shipping is included in our listed hatching-egg prices—there is no separate shipping charge. We also offer local pickup in Heber Valley, Utah, arranged after ordering.
Do you guarantee a hatch?
We promise to do everything on our end to send the freshest eggs and use the best packing methods possible.
Shipped hatching eggs are a gamble, and shipping is only part of the equation. Your incubator’s accuracy, temperature, humidity, turning, and handling all play a role in development and hatch success. Once eggs are in your care, proper storage and incubation are your responsibility. We cannot guarantee a hatch rate.
We’re always happy to help with incubation questions—whether you’re preparing for your first hatch or troubleshooting along the way!
Do you offer refunds or replacements?
All hatching egg sales are final. We do not offer refunds or replacements for shipping damage, eggs that do not develop, or unsuccessful hatches. By purchasing, you acknowledge and accept the risks of shipped hatching eggs and responsibility for your incubation practices.
Why can egg colors and blooms look different?
Eggs are naturally unique! Sunlight, shade, indoor lighting, camera settings, and your screen can all change how their colors appear. The same egg may look warmer, cooler, lighter, or darker in different lighting.
Bloom—the natural protective coating on an egg—can also vary from day to day, even from the same hen. Some eggs may have a more noticeable soft, chalky appearance, while others show more of the shell color underneath.
Black Copper Marans often lay their darkest eggs near the beginning of a laying cycle. As the cycle progresses, newly laid eggs can become lighter; after a laying break, darker color may return. A hen will not necessarily lay the same deep chocolate shade every day.
Our photos show examples of our eggs. Color, speckling, and bloom will naturally vary, so the eggs you receive may not look exactly like the photos.
